CAPMAS estimated the population of Minya Governorate at 6,511,377 on 1 January 2025 (3,350,983 men and 3,160,394 women), 6.07% of Egypt's 107.27 million; 6th largest of the 27 governorates. The estimate is built from the 2017 census plus registered births and deaths since.
