Requests and votes

Requesting a fact check and voting are anonymous. We don't ask for your name or email and we don't store your IP address. To stop one browser voting twice, we keep a cookie listing the requests it voted for. It holds nothing else.

Correction requests

An email address is optional. If you give one, we use it only to reply about your request.

Email alerts

If you subscribe, we keep your email address and which pages you follow, only to send you the alerts you asked for. We send nothing until you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address.

Donations

The site keeps no record of donations. Bitcoin payments are public on the blockchain, but don't show who sent them unless the sender's wallet reveals it.

Spam protection

Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person sent them.
