About these tables

Each rate page lists every value in the official records, newest first, and links each value to the document it comes from. The change column compares each value with the one before it (for percentage rates, the difference in percentage points). The CPI column is the ONS annual CPI inflation rate (series D7G7, published from 1989) for the calendar year in which the period starts. It is shown beside the rate as a second official figure; it is not the measure the government used to set the rate, which differs between rates. "Not yet published" means the ONS has not yet published a full-year figure.

A page is listed for search engines when it has at least 5 official values.
