What is the unemployment rate in Fiji?

Fiji's unemployment rate was 5.7% in 2023-24, according to the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, which shows the figure on its homepage. It comes from the 2023-24 Employment and Unemployment Survey, whose main report the bureau publishes as a PDF.

The survey is a household survey run about every five years, so there is no monthly or quarterly rate. The 2023-24 survey classifies status in employment under the newer ICSE-18 international standard, so check definitions before comparing it with the 2015-16 survey. Youth unemployment and figures by division are in the main report.
