This count includes Monegasques living abroad, so it is higher than the 9,333 Monegasque nationals counted among residents. The number has risen every year in the series shown, from 9,611 in 2021. Naturalisation requests are handled by the naturalisation office within the police's administrative division. The yearbook also gives births, deaths and fertility for this group.
