What is the life expectancy in Monaco?

Life expectancy at birth for Monegasque nationals was 88.5 years over 2023 to 2025: 86.4 years for men and 90.6 years for women, according to IMSEE, Monaco en Chiffres 2026, chapter 2, using town hall records.

The figure covers only people of Monegasque nationality, about 9,959 people in 2025, not all residents. Because the group is small, IMSEE pools three years of deaths to make the figure more stable. It was 86.7 years over 2019 to 2021. IMSEE does not publish a life expectancy for the whole resident population, most of whom are foreign nationals. International estimates for all residents are published by the UN and the World Bank.
