Informal employment made up 62.4% of all employment in Lebanon in January 2022, up from 54.9% in 2018-19, according to the follow-up Labour Force Survey by the Central Administration of Statistics and the ILO. Some 48.3% of workers were employed in the informal sector.

What is the average salary in Lebanon?

Employees in Lebanon earned about LBP 2,284,100 a month on average in January 2022, according to the follow-up Labour Force Survey by the Central Administration of Statistics and the ILO. Women earned LBP 2,492,000 on average and men LBP 2,205,600.
