In Beirut, 82% of primary-age children attended primary school in 2023, but attendance at intermediary level ranged from 64% in Beirut to 5% in settlements of displaced Syrians, according to the Sub-National Lebanon MICS 2023 by the Central Administration of Statistics and UNICEF.

These are adjusted net attendance rates: the share of children of the right age for a level who attend that level or a higher one. The survey has no national figure because South Lebanon, Nabatieh and Baalbek-Hermel could not be surveyed for security reasons.
