Biobio is a region of Chile, number 3 of 15 by population. The 2024 census counted 1,613,059 usual residents in Biobio, 8.7% of Chile's 18,480,432; 3rd largest of Chile's 16 regions by population. That is 67,216 more than the 1,545,843 counted in 2017, a rise of 4.3% (Chile: 6.7%). The census lists Nuble as a separate region, with 512,289 people in 2024.
