Araucania is a region of Chile, number 5 of 15 by population. The 2024 census counted 1,010,423 usual residents in Araucania, 5.5% of Chile's 18,480,432; 5th largest of Chile's 16 regions by population. That is 69,802 more than the 940,621 counted in 2017, a rise of 7.4% (Chile: 6.7%).
