North Korea: public finances

Does North Korea publish its state budget?

No official state budget figures for North Korea were found on the official DPRK sites naenara.com.kp, kcna.kp, rodong.rep.kp and mfa.gov.kp, which returned errors or could not be reached when checked on 15 October 2026, and the IMF and World Bank publish no government revenue, spending or debt series for the country.

Without a reachable official source, no budget figure is given here. The World Bank country data page shows which internationally compiled indicators exist for the DPRK.
