What is the pension age in Dominica?

The pensionable age in Dominica is 65, according to Dominica Social Security's benefits information page. An age pension is paid to insured people who reach that age and have paid at least 500 weekly contributions, which the scheme calls credits. People who reach 65 with between 50 and 499 credits receive a one-off age grant instead, equal to three times their average weekly insurable earnings for each block of 50 credits.

Claims for age benefit must be made within three months of becoming entitled. Claimants who have worked in other CARICOM countries must give their social security numbers there, because contributions can be added together across member states. The same page covers invalidity, survivors' and funeral benefits, and the DSS FAQ sets out contribution deadlines and late-payment penalties.
