Public registers of power and money

Every official list that someone with power or privilege can appear on, from a parish councillor's register of interests to the UN sanctions list: 69 registers kept by 56 official bodies. Each entry says who is on the register, what it shows, how to search it, and links to the official source with the date we read it and a saved copy.

17 of them are searchable on this site, linked to the pages of the people and bodies they name: the House of Lords register of interests, donations to MPs and other politicians, the Privy Council, the UK Sanctions List, advice to former ministers on their new jobs, and more.

Registers by level of power

There is no single official register of criminal convictions of people in office. Convictions are shown on this site only where an official or court source publishes them. Registers are published under the law that created each one; we republish only what the register itself makes public, and never home addresses unless the register publishes them. Report an error.
