Syria: crime and justice
2 answers, 1 from Syria's own official bodies, with a link to each figure.
What is the crime rate in Syria?
No current official crime statistics for Syria were found on the sites of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior, checked on 15 October 2026; the Ministry of Justice's statistics section carries infographics of its monthly activities rather than crime figures. The latest homicide rate in World Bank data from UNODC is 2.1 per 100,000 people, for 2010.
UNODC compiles homicide figures from national criminal justice or health data through an annual survey. Because Syria has not reported since 2010, that figure does not describe the situation after the conflict that began in 2011.
