How fast is Somalia's economy growing?

Somalia's GDP grew by 3.1% in 2025 in constant 2022 prices, slower than the 4.0% growth in 2024, according to the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics' GDP 2025 report. In current prices GDP was 13,234 million US dollars in 2025, up from 12,348 million in 2024.

The Bureau links the slowdown to lower international aid income, slower household consumption and weaker exports, as drought reduced livestock sales. GDP is estimated from the expenditure side, and the Bureau notes that recent years have been revised significantly as new data sources were added.
