San Marino: crime and justice

What is the crime rate in San Marino?
No consolidated national crime statistics were found on the National Statistics Office's website, checked on 15 October 2026. San Marino has three police forces, and two of them publish yearly reports on the Government transparency page. In 2025 the Guardia di Rocca took 249 crime reports, arrested 10 people and opened 102 criminal proceedings.
The Polizia Civile 2025 report records 165 people referred to the courts, 122 cases of driving under the influence and 27 cases of drug possession or dealing. No 2025 report from the Gendarmeria was listed on the same page. Because each force covers different duties, these figures cannot be added up into a national crime rate.
