Oman's real estate price index was 129.9 in the second quarter of 2026, 22.7% higher than a year earlier and 6.5% higher than in the first quarter, according to the Monthly Statistical Bulletin for September 2026 from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The residential index was 129.8, up 24.6% on a year earlier, and residential land in Muscat was up 40.6%. The base is 2018 = 100.

The index is built from registered real estate transactions, with residential property weighted at 67.9% and commercial at 32.1%. Land makes up most of the weight, so the index tracks land prices more than built homes. Quarterly changes can be large in smaller governorates where few transactions are recorded.
