What are Grenada's climate change targets?
Grenada's second nationally determined contribution, submitted in November 2020, keeps its target of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 40% from 2010 levels by 2030, according to the UNDP Climate Promise summary for Grenada. Grenada says it will report any further commitments through its Biennial Transparency Report.
The update adds fluorinated gases and the industrial processes sector, and counts emission benefits from the forestry and water parts of the National Adaptation Plan. It also covers women, children and youth, disaster risk reduction, health, and loss and damage. UNDP notes that it does not set out a separate adaptation component. A nationally determined contribution is the climate plan each country submits under the Paris Agreement.
