What is the minimum wage in Czechia?

The Czech minimum wage is CZK 22,400 a month, or CZK 134.40 an hour, for a 40-hour working week from 1 January to 31 December 2026, according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MPSV).

The amount is set by a formula in a government regulation: a coefficient (43.4% for 2026) applied to the Ministry of Finance's forecast of the average wage, which was CZK 51,497 for 2026. The MPSV must announce the next year's minimum wage in the Collection of Laws by 30 September each year. Public-sector employees are paid under a separate guaranteed salary scale.
