Requests for investigations by family members and seriously injured persons
Amendment proposed: 4, page 20, line 31, leave out subsection (2) and insert—
“(1A) Where conduct forming part of the Troubles—
(a) caused a person to suffer serious physical or mental harm, or
(b) caused a person physical or mental harm as the result of being the victim of a sexual offence,
the person may request an investigation under this Part of the conduct.”—(Robin Swann.)
This amendment would enable victims of sexual crimes that were committed as conduct forming part of the Troubles to request an investigation under Part 3 of the Bill.
