Regions of Togo: population and official figures

Togo is divided into 6 regions. The largest by population is Grand Lomé with 2,188,376 people (27.0% of the total); the smallest is Centrale with 795,529. Official statistics now report Grand Lomé (the autonomous district made up of the Golfe and Agoè-Nyivé prefectures) separately from the Maritime region, so Grand Lomé has its own page and the Maritime page covers the rest of the region. Population figures are from the November 2022 census (RGPH-5). Each page adds poverty from INSEED's 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 household surveys (EHCVM), malaria and maternal health from the 2020 Malaria Indicator Survey, and schools, electricity, water, farm output and health-facility figures for 2023-2024 from INSEED's Annuaire Statistique National 2024.
