34,467 crimes were registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, down from 36,352 in 2024 and 45,096 in 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee. With about 7.3 million people, that is roughly 470 crimes per 100,000 residents. Bishkek recorded 15,779 crimes, 46% of the total.

Registered crime counts offences recorded by law enforcement bodies, so it reflects reporting and recording practice as well as offending. A new Criminal Code took effect on 1 January 2019, which changed what counts as a crime; the Committee warns that figures before and after are not fully comparable.
