The MPC meets on dates announced in advance; the October 2026 meeting ran from 5 to 7 October and the next is scheduled for 2 to 4 December 2026. The Weekly Statistical Supplement is published weekly.
How to use it to check a claim
- Quote the repo rate with the date of the MPC decision.
- For reserves, give the 'as on' date and say whether a change is weekly or since end-March.
- Distinguish RBI projections from NSO estimates of inflation and growth.
Common mistakes
- Reserve values change with exchange rates and gold prices, not only with RBI interventions.
- Bank credit growth figures can be affected by mergers; the WSS notes flag these.
