Jesse Norman corrected the Commons record on Smart Meters

15 March 2017 · Commons Hansard, Written Corrections · Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

The words were spoken in the Commons on 14 March 2017. The correction was made by letter from Jesse Norman, and printed in Hansard's Written Corrections on 15 March 2017. The figure £47 billion in the original became £47, in the correction. Altogether 15 words differ between the two versions.

The question

I thought the Minister was a touch complacent in his earlier answer on smart meters given that this will cost the taxpayer £11 billion by the end of the Parliament. What is he going to do about the fact that they do not work when a customer switches supplier?
