New logos for registered online veterinary medicine retailers
What was announced
GB and NI online retailers of veterinary medicines will need to use two separate logos to verify that they are registered with the VMD.
Key points, in the publisher's words
- Online retailers of veterinary medicines in Great Britain and Northern Ireland are being reminded to check their registration details and ensure they display the correct logo on their websites.
- We have written to these retailers and provided instructions on how to display these logos on their website. The logos differ between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Retailers should check which arrangements apply to their business and take the necessary action.
- The new logos replace the previous voluntary Accredited Internet Retailer Scheme (AIRS) and will make it easier for customers to identify registered online retailers and check their details on the VMD register. This will help customers make informed purchasing decisions and maintain confidence in the legitimate supply of veterinary medicines.
