The ONS gives an annual CPI rate for vehicle maintenance and repair (COICOP 07.2.3) for every year from 1989 to 2025: 37 years. In 2025 prices in this class were 6.3% higher on average than in 2024, against 3.4% for all CPI items. The highest yearly rate in the series is 12.3% in 1990; the lowest is 1.6% in 2012.
