Your Parish Councillors
Skirlaugh Parish Council covers the Parish of Skirlaugh. There are 11 members who are re-elected every 4 years.
Parish Councillors
Cllr. Jason Johnston
Chairman
Cllr. Johnston was elected Chairman at the May 2025 meeting. He is also a member of the Joint Burial Committee and the Finance Committee. He is leading on the Green Spaces initiative in the village and also helps with severe weather, the emergency plan and road and path repair. He is responsible for organising the Christmas tree and festive lighting.

Vice Chairman

Cllr McDonald is the Vice Chairman. He serves on the Joint Burial Committee, the Finance & Forward Planning committee and the Churchyard Grounds Maintenance committee. His areas of responsibility include the Streetscene walkabout with ERYC, community support, HR, Jubilee Wood.
