The Council
Who we are & what we do
The Parish Council consists of 7 elected and 2 Co-opted members who serve for a four-year term, with the area divided into 2 wards. Main Council meetings are held at Scawsby Community Centre on the third Monday of each month and the attendance of members of the public is welcomed.
The Parish Council maintains green spaces and play areas in the parish including Barnsley Road Playing Field and Emley Drive Play area. It jointly owns (with Sprotbrough and Cusworth Parish Council) Scawsby Community Centre, which serves as a venue for a variety of local clubs and organisations. For further information relating to the services offered by the Parish Council please contact the Parish Clerk who will be happy to give advice and assistance.
