I was born and raised on Green Lane, Wickersley. As a kid, my playground was an old quarry off Rosemary Road that was used as a tip for old fridges and washing machines! Our children deserve better! A parish councillor for over 12 years, I have pride in my village to give it the best we can acquire regardless of how long it takes to get there. I have always been charity minded. I try do my bit for Wickersley to continue to be a good place to live, work, and spend time in. My family have a long history in Wickersley, in fact my grandma lived at the Wickersley Institute as a child. I have one son who is now grown up and a granddaughter. We love spending time walking in and around the village. I am very community minded and can often be seen out with my neighbour litter collecting keeping our streets tidy. After being involved in the Steering Group which is preparing the Wickersley Neighbourhood Plan assisted by specialist consultants, I applied for a vacant seat on Wickersley Parish Council and was accepted. I joined the Parish Council in the hope that I could make a difference to it on behalf of the residents. Oladipo Oseni Oladipo represents the North Ward is a member of the following committees:- Events Committee Recreation and Environment Committee Allotments Below is little about Oladipo: I've lived in Whiston and East Dene, but when it came time to move, I really wanted somewhere with a strong sense of community. Wickersley ticked all the boxes—and it hasn't disappointed. My passion for community development and bringing people together is what led me to become a parish councillor. I've studied Sociology (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) and also hold a Master's in Real Estate from Sheffield Hallam University. Work-wise, I've been a Project Coordinator in an NGO, a Property Manager in the real estate sector, and now I work as a carer supporting vulnerable adults. These experiences have given me a good understanding of housing, maintenance, local projects, and social welfare. I'm here to listen, support, and help make a positive difference in our community.
