It is responsible for maintaining the village green and the playing field and children's play park. It also manages the cemetery, allotments and street lighting and street furniture and works closely with Rutland County Council. The parish council is consulted on all planning matters in the village and has close links with other organisations such as: Lyddington Tennis and the Village Hall Committee. There are seven elected volunteer councillors who serve a term of four years. Lyddington Parish Council meets on Mondays bimonthly in Lyddington Village Hall; meetings commence at 7.30pm. Each meeting has an open session of 15 minutes for residents to come and tell us their concerns. The Annual Parish meeting is usually held in March and is open to all parishioners. Lyddington Parish Council is the trustee of Lyddington Playing Field Trust and an annual meeting is held. register of interest Parish Councillors Cllr.
