June 2026 by TheClerk The Parish Council met on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, at Leek Wootton Village Hall. Discussion included the following: CLLR ADAM SMITH The first item of business was to co-opt Adam Smith to the Council. Adam has attended a number of PC meetings and been getting to know the members for a few months. He has lived in Leek Wootton since childhood and knows the parish well. Also, his late father, Colin was a Councillor (co-opted in 2011, served 9 years, including 5 as Chair), so Adam was already familiar with some members and the issues facing the Council. Adam has turned out many times to support the Council on a practical level and is keen to continue to help wherever possible. He also enjoys meeting people and is keen to play a part in representing them. Adam has some disability and accessibility issues and the PC is keen to support him in taking an active part in the Council’s future and very much looks forward to working with him. Cllr Smith has already joined the Communications & Engagement Committee. no comments New Councillor: David Kiernan Posted on 06. November 2025 by TheClerk The Parish Council was pleased to co-opt David Kiernan onto the Council on 5 November 2025. David has known Leek Wootton since his childhood, attending the village school, before moving away in his 20s. He returned to his family home in c.2021. He says, "Leek Wootton has always been home to me — it’s where I grew up, went to school, and where my family roots are. After returning to the village, I feel a strong desire to give something back to the community that has given me so much over the years ... "I’m passionate about maintaining the character of the village while supporting sensible development and community initiatives that benefit residents of all ages." The Parish Council welcomes David and looks forward to working with him. The Parish Council has two remaining vacancies. July 2022 by TheClerk The Parish Council co-opted Jonathan Kingston at its meeting on 5 July 2022. Jonathan has lived in Leek Wootton for over 20 years and has been involved in many projects within the community; his is a familiar face to many from his work pounding the streets to sell raffle tickets for the Church and Members of the Parish Council have already worked closely with him on the Parish Summer Fetes since 2016. There were two candidates for the vacancy, which was triggered by the resignation of Joy Maisey in late 2021, and the co-option of Cllr Kingston means the Council now has a full compliment of 8 councillors again. The Parish Council looks forward to working with Cllr Kingston. no comments Leek Wootton & Guy’s Cliffe Parish Council Clerk to the Parish Council : Helen Eldridge e : clerk@leekwoottonandguyscliffeparish.gov.uk Hit Counter by Digits.net Added: 05/11/2014 Search for: Search Parish Notices Archive Parish Notices Archive Select Month October 2026 (6) September 2026 (5) August 2026 (5) July 2026 (3) June 2026 (11) May 2026 (6) April 2026 (4) March 2026 (2) February 2026 (5) January 2026 (4) December 2025 (3) November 2025 (6) October 2025 (5) September 2025 (7) August 2025 (4) July 2025 (4) June 2025 (6) May 2025 (4) April 2025 (8) March 2025 (5) February 2025 (8) January 2025 (8) December 2024 (1) November 2024 (2) October 2024 (4) September 2024 (6) August 2024 (10) July 2024 (1) June 2024 (5) May 2024 (4) April 2024 (9) March 2024 (4) February 2024 (8) January 2024 (6) December 2023 (1) November 2023 (7) October 2023 (4) September 2023 (7) August 2023 (9) July 2023 (1) June 2023 (16) May 2023 (7) April 2023 (2) March 2023 (14) February 2023 (5) January 2023 (7) December 2022 (8) November 2022 (3) October 2022 (2) September 2022 (8) August 2022 (5) July 2022 (5) June 2022 (6) May 2022 (9) April 2022 (10) March 2022 (7) February 2022 (4) January 2022 (9) December 2021 (2) November 2021 (3) October 2021 (9) September 2021 (8) August 2021 (4) July 2021 (6) June 2021 (6) May 2021 (9) April 2021 (9) March 2021 (1) February 2021 (3) January 2021 (4) December 2020 (1) November 2020 (4) October 2020 (5) September 2020 (2) August 2020 (2) July 2020 (6) June 2020 (8) May 2020 (1) April 2020 (2) March 2020 (7) February 2020 (4) January 2020 (4) December 2019 (3) November 2019 (2) October 2019 (5) September 2019 (4) August 2019 (1) July 2019 (4) June 2019 (9) May 2019 (4) April 2019 (5) March 2019 (6) February 2019 (1) January 2019 (4) December 2018 (2) November 2018 (3) October 2018 (4) September 2018 (1) August 2018 (1) July 2018 (4) June 2018 (9) May 2018 (7) April 2018 (4) March 2018 (3) February 2018 (2) January 2018 (8) December 2017 (2) November 2017 (5) October 2017 (4) September 2017 (4) August 2017 (2) July 2017 (1) June 2017 (3) May 2017 (7) April 2017 (2) March 2017 (6) February 2017 (4) January 2017 (2) November 2016 (6) October 2016 (2) September 2016 (2) August 2016 (3) July 2016 (3) June 2016 (3) May 2016 (2) April 2016 (3) March 2016 (2) February 2016 (8) January 2016 (1) November 2015 (1) October 2015 (3) September 2015 (1) August 2015 (1) July 2015 (1) June 2015 (3) May 2015 (2) April 2015 (1) March 2015 (3) February 2015 (1) January 2015 (2) December 2014 (1) November 2014 (3) October 2014 (1) September 2014 (3) July 2014 (2) May 2014 (11) April 2014 (1) May 2013 (1) May 2012 (1) March 2012 (2) January 2012 (1) April 2011 (1) October 2008 (1) September 2003 (1) Legal Website Policy (Adopted: Jul-2020) Legal: Cookie & Privacy Policy Legal: Accessibility Statement Copyright © 2014- Leek Wootton & Guy's Cliffe Parish Council All Rights Reserved Proudly powered by WordPress
