Under the Local Government Act 2000, all elected city and parish councillors must complete a register of interests form. This form is to detail any financial or other interests that might cause a conflict of interest in their councillor duties. All Register of Interest forms are sent to Milton Keynes City Council and can be found on their website: Register of Interests Tim Lee Parish Council Chair Tim and his wife moved from London to Loughton in 2021, in pursuit of cleaner air and larger green spaces. Judith Heinemann Councillor Judith has lived in Loughton with her family since 1989 and taught Modern Foreign Languages in our local school, Denbigh, for 22 years until 2014. During her time there, she was a parent governor for several years and organised many extra curricular activities, including exchanges and work experiences to France, Germany and Spain. After losing her darling husband and following the isolation in the COVID pandemic, Judith looked at our local environment with fresh eyes and was shocked at what she saw. Since then her mission has been to lobby Milton Keynes City Council and The Parks Trust to stop using glyphosate (Roundup) on soft landscaping and to reduce their mowing schedules in order to improve our biodiversity. As a Parish Councillor, whose particular focus is the environment, Judith will seek to put nature at the heart of all decision making locally for the sake of our future generations. They have 3 grown-up children and have been foster parents since 2008. “Fostering is challenging” he says, “but, ultimately, very rewarding”. His interests include playing the Spanish guitar and listening to classical music, jazz and the unique vibrancy of Klezmer. A member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, Don has just been honoured with a certificate commemorating 50 years as a member. Understandably, Don is particularly interested in all aspects of road safety, an interest he feels better helps him serve residents. He was a Borough Councillor for 14 years and as a Parish Councillor, on and off, since before the turn of the century.
