I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University. My wife (who was born and brought up in Canterbury) and I moved to Sellindge in 2018, shortly after we had both retired. Being a bit of a newbie to the area I was interested in learning more about the history of the village and wanted to get more involved with the community to support its development, as well as making new friends. I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in 2019. I live in Grove Bridge (where coincidentally the previous owner was also a Parish Councillor – does this mean that whoever owns the house becomes a Parish Councillor?) with my wife and a nearly 12-year-old golden retriever called Freddie. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, tending to the garden, taking Freddie for a gentle stroll around the village green and reacquainting ourselves with the delights of the Garden of England! Mr N Fursdon Elected May 2023 nfursdon@sellindge-pc.gov.uk Mrs J Tritton Co-opted June 2023 Mr G Worthy Elected May 2023 gworthy@sellindge-pc.gov.uk Born and raised in Hampshire, I have worked internationally within Telecommunications following a career in British Telecom. I am a Chartered Engineer (IET) and recently obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University. I work with REMAP a charity providing solutions to persons with varying degrees of disability. I have set down roots in Sellindge in 2004 whilst commuting to Lille in France for work. I have 3 children who have all been through Sellindge village school where I have also served as a school governor. I have varied interests, gardening, beekeeping, upholstery, self-sufficiency and sustainability are a few. I have a keen interest in maintaining and improving the area that we live in and have therefore decided to join the council to help steer and shape our community for the better and bring local residents’ thoughts and ideas to the table. I live in Moorstock Lane with my springer spaniel “Maggie” and love our walks around the beautiful countryside and swim along our local shores. Mr S Instance Co-opted March 2024 sinstance@sellindge-pc.gov.uk I was born in Kent and have lived in Sellindge for over 30 years. My wife and I spend any free time we have together in the garden as well as walking in the local area with our two dogs. Mr K Gipson Co-opted March 2024 kgipson@sellindge-pc.gov.uk I’ve lived in Kent all my life and moved to Sellindge in 2020.
