The last Parish Council elections were held in May 2023. Ours is a single ward Parish. There are also three elected Councillors to South Gloucestershire Council who represent Charlton Hayes' interests at this level. The Civic Year runs from May to April with the election of the Chair/Mayor and the Deputy taking place at the Annual Statutory Meeting in May. These roles are filled by councillors who have been nominated and voted for by their councillor colleagues. The Parish Councillors are unpaid, and do not receive any attendance allowance or payments for their duties, in which they run to undertake on a purely voluntary basis. Roberto Cialfi Chair of the Council Since May 2023 Hello, I am Roberto Cialfi. Originally from Italy, I've been living in the UK for a decade now. I moved to Charlton Hayes six years ago. I have a background in HR, and I hold a degree in Political Science. I am grateful to be leading the local Northfields Park neighbourhood committee and being part of the first Charlton Hayes Parish Council. I am working to foster a sense of community and improve share spaces, and I work closely with the local police to tackle antisocial behaviour in the area. I continue to work for the community and priorities these goals. Register of interests: Roberto Cialfi . Email roberto@charltonhayesparishcouncil.gov.uk Cllr. Jo Oyekoya Vice Chair My name is Jo Oyekoya. I am a wife and a mum to two children. I have lived in Charlton Hayes since March 2013 so I have seen the ward develop from a few houses into a community. I have seen it get its own school, shops and play areas and of course the development of Brabazon and the new community hub from the aircraft hangar 16U. I hope community events like the summer festival and the fun run will continue to grow to bring the community together.
