A post graduate course in Art and Education took me to Bristol but I had friends here, loved the area and found a teaching job in Malvern. I left teaching after I met my husband, to help run our Haulage business in Ledbury. Since then I have retired and am enjoying the garden as well as walking dogs and generally being outside. I joined the Council nine years ago representing Coddington, and have relished the challenge of protecting and cherishing this wonderful area. Councillor Sven Bosley, Bosbury Tel: 01531 640629 Email: Sven Bosley I was born in Bosbury in the late 50s(!) and I attended Evesham college and later Hartpury Agricultural College, when it was solely an Agricultural and Horticultural college. I worked on dairy and arable farms in Denmark for two years and subsequently nine years on an arable / beef farm in Oxfordshire before returning to the family farm in Bosbury in 1988. I have a passion for traditional hay meadows and their flowers and the wildlife that lives in them. I have always had an active interest in my community and would not like to see our precious village spoilt, as it’s Bosbury’s character that attracts people to it. Councillor J oe Hayes, Bosbury I was brought up in the Reading area where I started a commercial landscaping business 22 years ago having attended agricultural college in Chelmsford. I moved to Bosbury 12 years ago continuing the landscaping business all over the South and the Midlands. We started our second business in 2009 selling firewood which keeps me, my wife and all our fantastic staff very busy. Any free time is taken up with walking expeditions with our dogs Jack and Jet in the Malverns, the Black Mountains or Brecon. Councillor Julie Baker, Bosbury – Vice-Chair I moved to the beautiful and friendly village of Bosbury in 2004 with my husband and our 2 sons who both attended Bosbury Primary School. In 2006 I opened my own business – “The Bosbury Barbers” – in the heart of the village. I’m a very creative person who enjoys working in my garden and especially enjoy recycling objects no longer needed and recreating something both useful and attractive. My husband and I recently renovated a vintage caravan which we enjoy taking away whenever possible in our picturesque countryside. Councillor Liz Jones, Bosbury I have lived in Bosbury for 41 years and have 2 teenage daughters. I work at Bosbury Primary School. I am enjoying being able to contribute to the community even more through the Parish Council, and I have also been a member of the Bosbury Parish Hall Committee for 16 years. In my spare time (!) I enjoy walking, local history and spending time with my family and friends. Please feel free to chat to me about any parish issues you may have. Councillor Rachel Lovering, Coddington I have lived in Coddington since January 2014 and love the beautiful Herefordshire countryside with its rolling hills and old native trees. I still can’t believe the scale of the bluebells on the Malvern Hills each spring! At present, I work full-time establishing a new charitable business, and in my spare time I teach meditation and lead retreats on Buddhism – a vocation that I’ve pursued since 1984. I joined the Parish Council in 2014, and have been glad to contribute to the local community in this way. I regularly walk around Coddington and Oyster Hill so if you see me feel free to talk about any parish issues that you would like me to raise with the Parish Council. Councillor Tim Newsholme, Bosbury I am the former Director of Art at Malvern College with a career spanning many years as departmental leader and examiner in various establishments dedicated to Secondary and Further Education.
