Parish Councillors Councillor Richard Price (Chairperson) Councillor Mary Gilbert (Vice- Chairperson) Mary and Phil moved to beautiful Hallaton around 6 years ago. They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren so they keep them busy. Mary works with the Hallaton Museum team, The Fenwick Trust and the Primary School. She also goes to Cafe Morrell whenever she can because the cakes are just too good to ignore. Councillor John Norton The lovely village of Hallaton has always been a huge part of John’s life. His grandparents lived on Hunts Lane from 1947, he was born in Market Harborough, and then he has lived in Horninghold and Hallaton for over 32 years. John has been the Chair of the Hallaton Museum Committee and he was also a member of the Neighbourhood Plan Advisory Committee. He is a keen gardener and likes nothing more than spending his days mowing, weeding and pruning. Councillor Chris Kilby Councillor Jeremy Mears I have lived in the area for 19 years – my wife Liz is from a farming family in Rutland. I am a software architect, with three teenage children who all went to the primary school here in Hallaton. I’m a tree warden and have been involved in tree planting around Hallaton for a number of years, including the ‘Hallaton 45 Sentinels’ project. Before being elected to the Parish Council 5 years ago, I was on the HIST Recreation Ground Committee for 3 years and on the environment group of the Hallaton Neighbourhood Plan. I enjoy walking, cycling, canoeing and most other outdoors activities. On the Parish Council I am particularly involved with planning and tree related matters Councillor Jayne Cook Jayne along with her husband Martin moved to Hallaton during lockdown three years ago! We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren! We love to walk our dog through the village and enjoy growing all sorts of things in our allotment!
