West Swindon Parish Council
West Swindon Parish Council has fifteen Councillors who are elected every four years. The Councillors represent areas within the Parish and work together to improve quality of life for residents.
The Parish Council delegates the majority of its decision making powers to three standing committees:

These committees will sometimes establish sub-committees called working parties who are tasked to research and develop ideas or oversee a specific project.

I am incredibly proud to serve as a Parish Councillor for Eastleaze and Shaw. Having lived in Swinon for 15 years and raised my children here, I am deeply invested in ensuring our community remains a safe, thriving environment for all families.
Professionally, I bring over 20 years experience as an IT professional, giving me a strong foundation in problem-solving and strategic thinking that I am keen to apply to the council's day-to-day work.
I'm local, visible and accountable and I am genuinely dedicated to listening to and supporting our residents. I have already actively campaigned for local improvements, including a new play area and safer 20mph zones right here in my ward. Looking ahead, I am fully committed to protecting our green spaces and investing my time into community initiatives to give back to the area that has supported my family for so long.

I have lived in West Swindon with my young family since 2009 and have long valued the area’s parks and outdoor spaces. I work in area sales, supporting independent businesses across the South of England, giving me experience in problem-solving, communication and working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
I am also an experienced Chair of Governors at a local school and regularly take part in litter picks and other community activities. As the father of a daughter who uses a wheelchair and walking frame, I understand the importance of well-maintained pavements, accessible public spaces and considerate parking.
I believe local councils work best when councillors are visible, approachable and willing to listen to residents’ concerns.

As one of the longest-serving Parish Councillors in West Swindon, I'm committed to continue to serve the residents of our community with integrity, transparency and strong sense of responsibility.
Through my senior management position for a global company, I bring valuable experience in problem solving with a results driven approach to community issues.
I have successfully promoted and taken part in a walkathon to raise funds for the Pump Track, worked hard on reopening a local post office. I also champion Clean & Green projects across West Swindon and will continue leading and supporting local litter picking groups.

I have been a local councillor on the Borough and Parish Councils for many years and after a 3-year break I am delighted to be back representing neighbours in Middleleaze, Ramleaze and The Prinnels.
You’ll see me and Jack, the litter-detection dog, around and about most days so do stop and have a chat.
I was the cabinet member who set up the Parish Council so I am passionate about the vital role it plays in keeping our neighbourhood and playgrounds safe, clean and tidy – and keeping local politicians accountable to residents

I have lived in West Swindon for nearly 40 years and am passionate about community engagement. I am committed to continuing the community work and local involvement that residents have come to know me for.
After a career in the printing industry, I taught myself software development and moved into website development and now work in a website team for a major UK online retailer. My professional background has given me extensive experience in problem solving, communication and working collaboratively as part of a team. Previously I have volunteered for the RSPCA, serving on a local committee, going on to represent the South West Region on wider national discussions.
As a Parish Councillor, I believe local councils work best when they remain visible, approachable and closely connected to the communities they serve.

I am delighted to return as a Parish Councillor for Middleleaze & Ramleaze. I have lived locally for 16 years and have worked in different organisations in recruitment & marketing. My kids have studied here and I have a pet Huskey, so spend many hours walking in my local area.
In the last few years I have been fortunate to meet many residents and volunteers, have been involved in many activities including litter picks, tree & bulb planting and have supported local events. We are lucky to have lots of volunteers in West Swindon and I'm grateful to each and every one.
And of course I will continue to connect with residents, report issues and work hard to help find solutions, because what concerns you, also concerns me.

I have been a West Swindon Parish Councillor since the Parish was created in 2017. I have lived in Grange Park for over 40 years.
I worked as a practice nurse at the Phoenix, Ridge Green and Freshbrook sugeries. I was also the practice manager at the Phoenix surgery for 12 years. I retired in 2014.
I was a Swindon Borough Councillor for Lydiard & Freshbrook for 8 years, a school governer at Oliver Tomkins primary school and a hospital governor. I am a director of The Hub @ Toothill Community Interest Company.
As you can see I love helping people in my community and work across the Parish with various community events such as litter picking and attending local events and fetes.
I spend my leisure time gardening, doing DIY projects and caring for my granddaughter.
