The Town Council in its present format originates from the Local Government Review of the early 1970s, prior to this it was the Westbury Urban District Council. The Council comprises of 15 Members elected on a four yearly basis.
The Town has three
Wards
(East, North and West) each with five members.

NOTICE TO HEREBY GIVEN
That due to the resignation of Paulina Ulatowska, A vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Westbury Town Council.
If by 12th November 2026 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN registered electors form the Town Ward of Westbury (North Ward), An election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is call, it will take place no later than 20th January 2027.
Please note any requests to hold an election
MUST
be delivered only to the address below.
