Who We Are
Shirland and Higham Parish Council consists of 12 elected members who serve for a four-year term.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month with the exception of December. Meetings are held at Shirland Village Hall and Stonebroom Pavilion. The attendance of members of the public is welcomed.
Shirland and Higham Parish Council maintains green spaces, allotments and play areas in the parish. The Parish Council maintains and manages the Parish Council Cemetery in Shirland. The Parish Council also maintains and manages the Stonebroom Community Woodland on behalf. For further information relating to the services offered by the Parish Council please contact the Parish Clerk who will be happy to give advice and assistance.
The Parish Council currently has one Councillor vacancy that is to be filled by co-option. Any eligible person interested in joining the Council should contact the Parish Clerk.
