Main Council meetings are held on the second Thursday bi-monthly meeting in May, July, September, October (budget setting meeting), November, January and March. Additional meetings can be called when and if necessary. The location of the meetings change every month between Dadlington Village Hall, Whitemoore's Tea Room in Shenton and Sutton Cheney Village Hall. This is to give parishioners in each ward an opportunity to attend. The location of the meetings is stated on the agenda and on the calendar section of the website. The parish council welcome members of the public to attend the meeting and discuss the topics within the agenda during parishioners time. Dadlington and Sutton Cheney Parish Council owns and maintains Dadlington Green and Sutton Cheney allotments, as well as smaller assets such as benches, street lighting and village entrance signs etc. The council owns three noticeboards that are updated with public notices and the agenda for each meeting. The locations of these boards are: Dadlington - Next to the phone box on Dadlington Green Shenton - On the wall of the White Dove art gallery Sutton Cheney - On Main Street, opposite Blacksmith Lane The main aim of the Parish Council is to work for the people of the parish and we are keen to increase engagement with residence to ensure that individuals are getting what is needed from the various authorities. Parish Councillors Cllr. Andrew Copson OBE Chairman & Sutton Cheney Ward Councillor Cllr Andrew Copson OBE Moving from nearby Nuneaton, I now live in Sutton Cheney with my family and love the area. I originally joined the council to get some specific things done - flood relief on Bosworth Road, more bins, new village speed and road signs, and new village planters. Now that is all achieved, I'm always in the market for new ideas from residents as to how we can conserve and improve our beautiful villages. Neil Franklin Dadlington Ward Councillor I've lived in Dadlington since 2021 with my wife and our two daughters, Isabelle and Alice. Before that, I grew up in the neighbouring village of Stoke Golding and have always had strong ties to the area, spending much of my earlier life in and around both Dadlington and Stoke Golding. I became a Parish Councillor to take a more active role in the community and to contribute positively to the villages I care strongly about. I'm passionate about ensuring our villages continue to thrive while keeping the unique charm and character that make them special. I just want to help make sure Dadlington, Sutton Cheney, and Shenton stay great places to live for everyone, now and in the future. Having sold our family business in 2023, I retired and wanted to do something constructive and positive for the local area and I joined the parish council in August 2025. My aim is to play an active role as part of the council to understand the needs of the three villages in the parish and do my utmost to serve the residents in the best way I can.
